How to override a locked apartment thermostat
Apartment thermostats are often locked with a temperature cap that prevents tenants from adjusting the climate past limits like 68 or 70 degrees. This leaves residents sweating in their rooms because they cannot manually raise or lower the heat. To bypass this restriction, tenants frequently look for manufacturer override codes or USB drive hacks to unlock the controls.
