How to remove a stuck light fixture globe
Ceiling light globes often become stuck due to painted-over edges, suction from tight rubber gaskets, or hidden set screws that remain fastened even after decorative center knobs are removed. Freeing the cover requires breaking any dried paint seal with a utility knife blade and checking the outer rim for small thumbscrews before pulling straight down. If the fixture is a modern sealed LED unit rather than a bulb-replacement model, the entire assembly may need to be replaced when the internal array fails.
