How to clean bathroom floors without getting on the hands and knees

Scrub brushes and traditional methods fail to remove grime effectively while forcing people into painful kneeling positions. This physical barrier, combined with the risk of tracking bathroom bacteria into other rooms, makes keeping tile floors thoroughly clean an exhausting chore that people actively dread.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Using a floor squeegee to quickly gather dust and hair
  2. 2
Keeping a dishwashing soap brush or spray in the shower to scrub walls and tubs while bathing
  3. 3
Using a rubber pet hair broom or mini-squeegee
  4. 4
Using alkaline cleaner or brick and patio cleaner with a stiff deck brush
  5. 5
Applying baking soda and white vinegar with a scrub brush
  6. 6
Using toilet bowl cleaner and letting it sit before scrubbing
  7. 7
    Stripping and resealing the tiles
  8. 8
    Using waterproof paint
  9. 9
    Scrubbing bubbles foam
  10. 10

  13. 13

scrubbing with a deck brush or scrub brush
  15. 15
    stripping and refinishing the floor
  16. 16
soaking with dawn, cotton mop and hot water for 30 minutes
  17. 17
sweeping or vacuuming when noticing it getting bad
  18. 18
Mopping with just hot water and a microfiber pad
  19. 19
Using a dish sponge and dishwashing liquid on hands and knees
  20. 20
Scrubbing with a soapy scrub brush, rinsing with clean water, and drying with a microfiber cloth

All of my dread and energy friction about the dust and dirt that accumulates so fast, and how it never felt easy or thorough to remove in a way that I felt good about, has vanished.source ↗

I'm not a fan of easily cross-contaminating the rest of the house with bathroom bacteria, so solutions that other folks use are not feasible for me.source ↗

I’ve tried everything and NOTHING WORKS! Irish spring 5 in 1 doesn’t do anything. I’ve tried scrubbing bubbles foam, used countless scrub daddies, and firm bristle brushes, vinegar and blue dawn and yet still no avail!source ↗

i live in a place with mostly hard floors, and i’ve noticed they start looking dusty again pretty quickly even when i’ve just cleaned them.source ↗

with work during the week, i don’t really have the time or energy to do a proper floor cleaning every couple of days.source ↗

right now i usually sweep or vacuum when i notice it getting bad, but that feels more reactive than having an actual routine.source ↗

I used something not as good as a deck brush but still a scrub brush and that didn't work. What can I use? Is this an elbow grease only type of situation?source ↗

Sorry just to clarify - I’ve only used the spray mop once this week as an attempt - before that I was using hot water, floor cleaner and a mop!source ↗
