Why do wood floors look cloudy and sticky after mopping?
Pad-based mops and pre-moistened systems leave behind a residue because the cleaning pad only gets rinsed at the base, meaning later passes simply spread dirty water and detergent film back across the floor. This buildup creates a persistent sticky layer that frequent cleaning only worsens.
