Said It Here

Why is random dirt piling up around my yard and foundation?

An unusually large accumulation of dry, sandy soil can build up around trees and near foundations, creating deep spots where you can sink into the ground. This excess debris causes drainage problems and prevents plants from growing properly.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Clearing out the dry, sandy debris using yard waste bins and truckloads
  2. 2
Trying to grow plants in the affected soil

I’ve noticed an unusually large amount of dirt in many locations. Some spots have so much you can sink into the ground a bit when standing on them.source ↗
