Charged twice or website error after paying for e-visa
Government visa portals frequently claim a payment failed while still charging bank accounts, or process payments without updating the application status. Because these websites show an error screen and provide no contact support, applicants are left with duplicate charges and no confirmation that they have actually paid.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Contacting the bank for a refund
- 2Resending support emails
- 3filling out the form again and risking a duplicate charge
- 4leaving it and relying on visa-on-arrival instead

“Today the payment portal suddenly started working, so I tried to pay. It charged my card right away. But then the e-visa website reloaded to just say "Error". There is no indication anywhere I have paid (it even still has the prompt for me to pay), I didn't get an email, etc. But the charge is on my card.”source ↗
