New battery still showing low voltage

Even when a new battery is installed and the alternator passes testing, loose cables or poor connections can prevent proper voltage from reaching the battery. This leaves vehicles dealing with persistent low voltage issues despite having replaced the major components.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Measure resting battery voltage with a multimeter
  2. 2
    Test the alternator
  3. 3
    Check cable connections for looseness
