Why does Salesforce keep changing product names and certs?

Companies abruptly retire and rebrand established software products and certifications, rendering hard-earned credentials obsolete overnight. This sudden renaming forces professionals to constantly relearn ecosystems and devalues the specialized effort they spent mastering tools like CPQ.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    venting frustration online
  2. 2
keeping legacy configurations or supporting older versions as long as possible
  3. 3
Ignoring new marketing names and sticking to core platform mechanics
  4. 4
Laughing it off or making jokes about constant renamings

So sick of Agentforce being forcibly shoved down our throats. This name change in relation to these certs make absolutely no sense at allsource ↗

Hopefully they aren’t just swapping Agentforce with another ridiculous AI/marketing product name though, that would add even more confusion!source ↗
