How much layover time do I need for a self-transfer?
A self-transfer with checked luggage requires you to clear immigration, pick up your bags, switch terminals, and check them in again. These extra steps make it difficult to know whether a one-hour or even a nearly three-hour window will be comfortable or require moving fast.
