Should I use Intel VROC or a hardware RAID controller?
Intel VROC mirrors are unmonitored in standard out-of-band management platforms like BMC, IPMI, or iDRAC, leaving administrators blind if hardware components fail. This lack of visibility raises major concerns about where RAID configurations are stored if a motherboard or CPU goes down, pushing many to stick with dedicated hardware RAID.
