Why am I planning my wedding all by myself?

Carrying the entire workload of wedding planning and DIY projects without help leaves you feeling isolated and desperate for the process to end. This overwhelming lack of support turns what should be a joyful celebration into an exhausting solo burden.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
DIYing decor with supplies from Temu or Amazon, using Etsy templates, and investing in professional vendors like photographers and DJs.
  2. 2
    eating something in the morning
  3. 3

I just am not sure how to grapple with this constant disappointment my father expresses towards me and my choices, and while I know I shouldn’t be affected by his opinions this much…. I can’t help but feel such shame and sadness in what should be one of the happiest times of my life.source ↗

I’d really love to hear from any fellow brides and how they’ve handled this level of stress and shame from family over their choices.source ↗

Brace yourself for a long one, but I’ll try to keep it as short as possible. Also please be gentle with me because if you couldn’t tell I already feel like I’m losing it right now.source ↗
