Versatile travel bag for work hiking and travel

Most travel bags lack exterior pockets for quick access to documents and water bottles while failing to convert smoothly between a backpack and shoulder bag. Additionally, compact alternatives are often too small or look unsuitable for work, stopping people from using a single bag across travel, hiking, and daily work.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Using traditional luggage or duffel bags
  2. 2
Using freezer Ziploc bags that can be easily replaced if something leaks
  3. 3
Buying a simple canvas dopp kit
  4. 4
Repurposing an accessory or tech bag like the Cotopaxi Nido
  5. 5
Using a toiletry kit designed for barbers that has structure and a hanging hook

“I've been using a cheap wash pouch to carry some toiletries and cosmetics everyday at work. I've been looking at the peak design Wash Pouch but open to absolutely any suggestions, something in a similar price range works for me.”source ↗
