Building supply yards and local distributors typically enforce high minimum order requirements or wholesale-only policies for roofing components and specialized sod. DIYers needing minor repairs or small linear footage are forced to pay for hundreds of square feet or feet of material they will never use. This makes small patches and localized fixes unnecessarily expensive and difficult to source locally.
