Why is my riding lawn mower cutting unevenly?

Uneven grass cuts can persist even after checking tire pressure and replacing blades due to underlying lawn issues like improperly seeded grass or mixed turf types such as tall fescue and Kentucky bluegrass. These turf inconsistencies create patchy growth pockets that prevent a uniform appearance across the yard.

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

Overseed with turf-type tall fescue for a uniform look and lower maintenance

Over time, I’ve learned that somebody improperly seeded the lawn.source ↗

There are pockets of tall fescue with lots of Kentucky bluegrass mixed in.source ↗

There are even parts of the lawn where you could tell somebody must’ve run out of seed. It’s really strange looking.source ↗
