Gas pedal not working after wrong battery installation
Putting a car battery in backwards typically blows a main high-amp fuse, cutting power to critical circuits and triggering limp mode due to low sensor voltage. This disables electronic throttle communication, leaving the gas pedal completely unresponsive until the blown fuse is replaced.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1checking the fuse box for blown fuses
- 2checking and re-clipping all connectors
- 3inspecting power and ground tap points for weak shared grounds
