Said It Here

Why does my house smell like cat urine when there is no visible mess?

Pet urine soaks into hidden areas like subfloors and rugs, releasing airborne vapors that circulate through the entire house. Because the source is often invisible to the naked eye, standard surface cleaning fails to clear the odor from the air, leaving the whole home smelling like pee.

Despite leaving windows open to let air circulate, it still has a fainter but still funky smell to it, especially in my bedroom.source ↗

I already have an air purifier running 24/7 (HEPA and charcoal filters).source ↗

However the musty smell stayed in the room and im not sure where its coming from.source ↗

its been years later and currently i have a new mattress and bedframe that is elevated from the floor, but the smell is still there (not as strong but faded and annoying to me).source ↗

I also have an anxiety disorder, so the thought about possible mold being under the floor/in the walls and its keeping me up at night :/source ↗
