How to install a transition strip without removing the old threshold
Transitioning vinyl plank to an existing outswing threshold often leaves a slight height difference between the two surfaces. This makes it difficult to know whether the new plank should bump directly against the threshold or slip slightly under the back. Furthermore, even if the existing threshold has a rear track, it is hard to find a matching transition piece to clip into it.
