Why is my managed investment portfolio losing money?

Managed investment portfolios often suffer from severe value erosion due to poor stock selection, high fees, and a lack of risk management like stop-loss mechanisms. This results in returns that fail to keep up with inflation, leaving investors with slow growth and companies that refuse to take responsibility or respond to questions.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Asking for government portals to raise complaints
  2. 2
Searching for ways to recover invested money
  3. 3
Opening a new brokerage account with another firm and initiating an asset transfer
  4. 4
Selling underperforming investments to purchase index funds or equity ETFs like VTI or VOO

“our investments through this credit union have only had an annual rate of return of 5% over the last 7 years. I’m just know realizing how low this is, since it’s not even keeping up with inflation. I’m mad at myself for not seeing that sooner.”source ↗
