Custom order took so long I missed the refund window
Custom items often take longer to produce than standard platform claim windows allow. When sellers convince buyers to wait past this deadline, buyers lose their purchase protection and cannot get a refund after realizing the item will never arrive.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Warning other buyers to be careful when purchasing items that take a long time to make and deliver
- 2Waiting past the delivery date without contacting the seller immediately
- 3Reviewing community guides and links to figure out when to open a case
