Movers demanding more money after loading
Moving companies frequently provide inaccurate phone estimates, only to charge significantly more on moving day for higher item weights, larger volumes, or 18-wheeler residential delivery fees. Because your belongings are already on the truck or you must vacate immediately, you are forced to accept the inflated prices to get your delivery.

“The mover estimated 2,400 lbs from the inventory list we gave over the phone, and after loading the reweigh ticket said 3,650 lbs because the server rack and two filing cabinets weighed more than listed. We never weighed anything ourselves, and with everything already on the truck we paid the new number to get our delivery.”source ↗
“On moving day, the movers told me that my stuffs need 2000 cuft, and gave a quote of 14000. i was just surprised and had no way but to accept this horrible deal as i have to move on that day.”source ↗
“Then on the delivery the charged another 2000 becuase the 18 wheeler cant reach to my residential area (i mean which residential area allows a 18 wheeler!!!!!).”source ↗
“I wrote off the VERY large deposit I payed Value Added because I didn’t read up on them until after I paid.”source ↗
