Why is my GE dishwasher rinse aid cap stuck?
The rinse aid dispenser cap spins or jams in place and cannot be unscrewed, blocking normal maintenance and preventing regular use. Standard tools like pliers and knives often fail to grip or clear the stuck cap due to tight clearance around the dispenser.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Tried using needlenose pliers, scissors, and a butter knife to pull it loose.
- 2Trying a different brand or checking if it was a defective product (a lemon)
