Etsy refunded the buyer but the package arrived
Once Etsy issues a refund for a delivery issue, the action is final even if the buyer later receives the package. Sellers cannot get reimbursed by production partners like Printify, and buyers are left without a clear way to repay for the delivered item.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Submitting a support request to Etsy
- 2Checking if Etsy funded the refund rather than the seller
- 3Keep the item since the marketplace already absorbed the cost and closed the matter.
- 4Regift or throw away the delayed item.
