Can a damaged plastic bumper cover be repaired with heat?
You can sometimes use heat to pop a deformed plastic bumper back into shape and clip it together, but gouged-out pieces require more work. Deciding whether to fix it yourself or pay a shop between $400 and $700 depends on the extent of the damage, though plastic parts will not cause rust.
