Why is the plywood roof decking sagging on my new house?

Premature sagging and warping on new roof decking is typically caused by trapped moisture due to poor attic ventilation. This excessive humidity compromises the structural integrity of the plywood, leading to noticeable dips between the roof rafters.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
contacting the contractor's licensing board to enforce a judgment
  2. 2
putting solar panels on to hide the damage
  3. 3
ripping off and replacing the roof sheathing

It's definitely not a good sign that it looks like that. It's indicative of issues with the roof deck.source ↗
