How do I stop a cricket chirping inside my wall?
Crickets trapped behind baseboards or walls can chirp continuously for weeks, preventing sleep and concentration. Because they are hidden in inaccessible spots, standard tracking attempts fail and leave people desperate for a way to stop the noise without necessarily killing the bug.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1swiping objects underneath the baseboard gap
- 2spraying lavender and peppermint essential oils
- 3Waiting for them to die off when it gets cold outside
