How to see Mount Everest from the ground without hiking

Taking a bus from Kathmandu to a village with a distant view of Mount Everest is much more difficult than travelers expect. For people with disabilities or recent injuries, this lack of accessible viewpoints stands in the way of their bucket list dream to stand on the ground and see the mountain without a fly-by or base camp trek.

“On my bucket list is seeing Everest. Not climbing it and not even visiting base camp. However, I would prefer not to see it just in a fly by. I would like to be able to stand on the ground somewhere and look at it in the distance.”source ↗

“Initially, I thought that this would be easy: fly into Kathmandu and maybe a few bus trips later, I would be in a village where I could see it. However, it appears to be more difficult.”source ↗
