- 17Do I need a master's degree to teach high school English?Aspiring teachers moving out of state with a bachelor's degree are left guessing whether they need a master's degree, what specific alternative certification steps to take, or how many tests and patches are required to legally qualify.
- 11How to become a teacher without an education degreeAlternative certification programs and district fast-track options allow people with degrees in other fields to get licensed and hired without returning to school. These pathways let candidates avoid paying for another degree and bypass unpaid student teaching, though they often require stepping into positions like middle school before feeling fully prepared.
- 10Can I get an accounting job with an unrelated degree?Breaking into accounting with a non-business undergraduate degree often requires taking extra prerequisite courses or pursuing a specialized master's degree instead of a second bachelor's. Without these targeted credentials, applicants struggle to land entry-level or adjacent positions, leaving them questioning whether a pivot into the field is even possible.
