How to stop waking up a sleeping puppy
Normal routines like getting ready for bed or an older dog pacing around the room easily wake a sleeping puppy. This forces owners to walk on eggshells and lose significant sleep, making it difficult to comfortably share the master bedroom.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1sleeping in that spare bedroom at night with him
- 2moving her crate to the corner farthest from the bathroom door
- 3draping a heavy blanket over the sides that face the hallway
- 4The sound machine is a lifesaver, we have one right next to her crate
- 5ted crating the older one in another room til the puppy settled into a routine
