Why am I expected to buy my own classroom supplies?
Teachers are pressured by administrators to spend their personal money on classroom tools, timers, and snacks under the guise of making the room run smoothly. Refusing to buy these materials makes educators look stubborn or incompetent, forcing them to choose between using their limited salaries or failing to meet basic student needs.
