Said It Here

Why am I seeing ads in software I already paid for?

Paid software increasingly forces pop-ups, forced payment enrollments, and unclosable AI assistants directly into everyday workflows. This constant barrage interrupts basic tasks and makes it impossible to use the software cleanly without stopping to close advertisements on every page.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Closing the offer pop-up manually every time it appears
  2. 2
Using adblockers or user scripts like Greasemonkey to block elements
  3. 3
Switching to alternative software like Xero
  4. 4
    Using browser extensions like RightTool
  5. 5
    using adblocker filters
  6. 6
    looking for software alternatives
  7. 7
switching back to manual or paper ledgers
  8. 8
using third-party browser extensions or plugins to block nonsense
  9. 9
looking for settings to turn off pop-ups

The AI assistant is garbage. It pops up when you don't want it to, there's no way to turn it offsource ↗
