Should I still do internships after getting a full-time job offer?
Students who already have a job offer worry that taking on extra internships or career events will overload their school schedule and CPA studies. They struggle to figure out whether adding more experience is worth the time or if it risks causing issues with their future employer.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Focusing entirely on studying for the CPA exam and enjoying the final year of school
- 2Attending the career events anyway just to hand out resumes and gather contact information
- 3Doing part-time jobs instead of internships

“Or is this going to be overloading with a full school schedule and studying for cpa, and since I already have a return offer with EY for the fall, how relevant is it to even get an internship after working a FT for a few years?”source ↗
