Can you safely paint a fireplace hearth or tile?
Fireplace tile and brick can usually be painted, but you need to identify the material and make sure it can handle heat safely. Without knowing whether old paint can be stripped or if the surface is safe to coat, people often struggle to update a worn hearth without replacing it entirely.
