Why are my oxygen sensor readings going crazy during a misfire?

Conflicting lambda readings ranging from very rich to ultra-lean make it nearly impossible to pinpoint the root cause of an engine misfire using standard data alone. This erratic sensor behavior prevents car owners from identifying whether the issue stems from failing injectors, fuel delivery problems, or sensor faults.

After a few miles or minutes the check engine light comes on then flashes... flashes are associated with a little shaking (misfires?) and sometimes loss of acceleration responsiveness.source ↗

Hooking and OBD code reader shows that the first code to be thrown is P0154 (No activity for O2 sensor on Bank 2 Sensor 1), sometime after that P0016 and P0018 for Crankshaft/Cam correlation (both Banks) are thrown along with cylinder misfires P0300, P0302, P304.source ↗
