What food to bring to school events besides cupcakes?

Parents often run out of fresh ideas for school carry-ins and end up relying on the same baked goods over and over. This repetition makes the task feel uninspired and stops them from easily bringing something appropriate and appreciated.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Bringing chili in a crockpot with bowls, spoons, and toppings
  2. 2
Bringing fresh fruits and vegetables with dip
  3. 3
Providing a high-quality leafy salad or fresh bread rolls
  4. 4
Ordering pre-assembled food like a chipotle burrito box
