How to fit a regular couch into an awkwardly shaped room

Standard couches are often too big or mismatched for uneven walls and awkward corners. This makes it difficult to arrange furniture without making the room feel unusable, especially when major renovations or moving are not an option.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    considering buying a custom sectional
  2. 2
    Decluttering items
  3. 3
Buying new furniture that fits the space better
  4. 4
Removing ugly or poorly placed built-in furniture

one wall is longer than the other and there's this awkward corner that makes putting a regular couch in there kind of a pain.source ↗

every one i've looked at is either way too big or doesn't really fit the space.source ↗
