New furnace short cycling every 10 minutes
The furnace runs for 8 to 10 minutes before shutting off, then restarts the burner about 30 seconds later. This short cycling persists even when bypassing the thermostat or completely removing the furnace doors and air filter to maximize return air.

“I have taken the doors off the furnace to test it, and even with the blower almost exposed and filter removed, allowing for much more return air, it will still shut off before 10 minutes, regardless of the call for heat.”source ↗
“I had a new furnace installed (Carrier OBM) in February and I think it’s short cycling. It will run for 8-9 minutes then It will turn off. Then maybe 30 seconds later I hear the burner kick on again and it will keep doing that.”source ↗
“I took the filter out and it still did it, then I took the thermostat off and jumped the wires and it still had the same problem.”source ↗
