Gap under new baseboard vent after installing floors
Modern replacement baseboard vents are often shallower than older models, leaving a visible space between the trim and the floor. Unseen high spots in the subfloor can also make the new vent sit unevenly. Leveling the subfloor to close this gap is usually impossible without tearing up the newly installed flooring.
