Repair shop won't give me records for warranty work
Repair shops sometimes refuse to provide documentation for warranty visits, claiming they do not keep the files and telling customers to check Carfax instead. This prevents car owners from seeing exactly what was inspected and repaired during previous visits. It also makes drivers uncomfortable bringing leased vehicles in for routine maintenance, knowing the work will never get reported.
