Said It Here

Why does gardening make my lower back hurt so bad?

Continuous bending and stooping during yard work strains the core and lower back after just an hour or two of labor. This fatigue forces people to take frequent breaks and prevents them from getting through a full day of maintenance.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    taking more breaks
  2. 2
    using long-handled tools
  3. 3
    considering lightweight hip-assist harnesses
