Do you enforce bedtimes at sleepovers?
If you let kids stay up until 1am, you will have to deal with extremely grumpy children the next day. Skipping a forced bedtime also means you lose the only time you and your partner have together to relax and watch your own shows.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Encouraging kids to get ready for bed early
- 2Containing playing to one room to avoid noise
- 3Requesting that lights go out after a while while letting them play and chat
- 4Waiting for the weekends to have time together
- 5Staying up later into the night after the kids finally fall asleep
