What is normal for a recovering kitten?
Owners without prior experience do not know what symptoms to expect after a kitten undergoes surgery or starts medical treatment. This makes it impossible to confidently judge whether loud purring, heavy sneezing, or bloody vomit are standard side effects or reasons to visit an emergency vet. Ultimately, this uncertainty leaves them in constant fear that their pet will suddenly take a turn for the worse.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1giving daily supplements and medication pills
- 2giving the cat steam showers
- 3removing toys so the cat is forced to relax
- 4Calling the vet who performed the surgery for advice before visiting
- 5Calling a vet hotline to check symptoms
- 6Rubbing wet food on their gums to stimulate appetite
