Why does my car overheat and shake while driving?
Sudden engine overheating accompanied by shaking and smoke usually stems from a cracked coolant tube or a corroded water pump impeller. These failures either rapidly drain the coolant tank or spike engine temperatures during highway cruising. This forces drivers to pull over every few minutes to add fluid or wait out long cooldown periods, making continuous driving impossible.

“3 weeks ago i was cruising at 100km and my coolant needle moved, i plug my obd and see 109 coolant temp, i slow down and it drops back to 98, i go to my mechanic and he replaced radiator and water pump”source ↗
“yesterday i was cruising at 100-130km and coolant went to 108 again and needle moved, as soon as i slowed down coolant drop fast in 1 minute it was down to 102. During hard pulls car doesnt overheat nor does it overheat during traffic jams.”source ↗
“I have had this issue on an older Euro car and it was a corroded impeller causing it. New water pump and it was fixed.”source ↗
“The car first dealt with overheating issues around two years ago when it was driven for 20 hours straight.”source ↗
“Around six months ago one of tubes that connects to the coolant reservoir cracked, had to drive it to the mechanic and stop every five minutes to add more coolant that would leak out very quickly”source ↗
“Tonight while driving the car started rocking and shaking. I pulled over when I noticed. Got out to see to a bit of smoke was coming out the hood and it smelled like heat.”source ↗
“Checked the coolant tank completely empty but there was liquid in the radiator. I walked a mile to buy coolant, filled up the coolant tank, and let the car sit for as long as I could to cool down.”source ↗
