Why are sellers putting religious scripture in package deliveries?

Independent online sellers are including unsolicited conversion cards and scripture inside product packaging. This unwanted proselytizing alienates buyers and prevents them from becoming loyal repeat customers.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
Leaving lower-star reviews to warn other potential buyers
  2. 2
Refusing to leave positive reviews or buy from those sellers again
  3. 3
Tearing up and throwing away the religious materials

When it arrived, the packaging included 2 cards (one with the sellers info and a discount code, the other being a business card). Both had scripture written all over it regarding conversion.source ↗

But again, another LARGE card with scripture written all over it about conversion and God's love.source ↗

As a buyer, I agree. This has happened to me. It turns me off to being a loyal repeat customer.source ↗
