Why does my new air intake hose keep ripping in the exact same spot?
An air intake hose keeps tearing repeatedly when the engine mounts are worn, causing excess engine movement that violently stresses the rubber in the same location. This persistent flexing strains the material until it splits again, making simple part replacements useless until the underlying mechanical movement is fixed.
