How to route and hide cables in the attic
When a home lacks a crawl space and has limited exterior options, the attic becomes the main route for camera and minisplit cables. The challenge is hiding the wiring so it looks nice, while also dealing with concerns about condensation and ambient temperature differences.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1Remove the vented soffit to the left and run the cable through
- 2Drill a hole and get some fiberglass fish rods, attach the wire to the end and run the wire up
- 3Running lines along the exterior of the house
- 4Relying on the insulation provided on the line sets
