Why won't my sink drain stopper stay up?
The little piece in the back that raises and lowers the stopper has disconnected. This causes the stopper to repeatedly fall or move out of place, preventing water from draining normally and creating a horrible smell in the bathroom.
What people tried
Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.
- 1screwing the stopper down
- 2calling maintenance
- 3checking carbon monoxide sensors
- 4Unscrew and remove the stopper to clean the mechanism
- 5Pull the stopper out manually and adjust the height mechanism
