Why does running multiple appliances trip the circuit breaker?

Circuit breakers trip because multiple high-draw devices, such as a tea kettle and vacuum or various office electronics, are often wired into the same shared circuit. This hidden overlap means that running certain combinations simultaneously exceeds the circuit's capacity and causes a blowout, even when individual device wattages seem safe on paper.

When the room warms up to 77F, the AC kicks back on, but only runs for maybe 15 seconds before the breaker trips if it has been a relatively quick (say 10-15 minutes on a hot day) restart.source ↗

We just bought a new place where we're using the dining room as an office. I've heard that a 20amp circuit can only handle 2400 watts so I added the wattage of our devices 360-monitor, 750-pc, 750-pc, 220-monitor. So I thought it would be fine. But turns out half our living room outlets are on the same circuit.source ↗
