Car radio screen works but no sound

An infotainment system can experience total audio failure while other functions like the backup camera continue operating normally. This unexpected software or hardware glitch cuts off all sound output from the vehicle's speakers, forcing owners to hunt for hidden electrical faults or face costly dealership diagnostics.

What people tried

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

  1. 1
    Checking associated fuses
  2. 2
Tracing ground wires behind the dashboard
  3. 3
Visiting the dealership for a software reflash
  4. 4
changed fuses associated with the audio amplifier, radio gps, and AM/FM radio
  5. 5
    reset the SYNC system
  6. 6
pull a door panel and check if any connections are green and nasty
