Why won't my older car stereo play burned audio CDs?
Older factory car stereos often fail to read home-burned discs because they require a very specific audio CD format rather than raw MP3 data files dragged onto a disc. This prevents people from listening to custom music and causes the audio to stutter or fail entirely even when the manual states it should work.
