Why do teachers have to do unpaid after school dismissal duty?

Schools often require teachers to stay past contract hours for carline and dismissal supervision without extra pay. This unpaid overtime forces educators to work extra hours beyond their contracted schedule with zero additional compensation.

Every workaround mentioned in the threads below. We haven’t tested any of them — and nobody here is claiming they worked.

Leaving the school or switching to a public school where dismissal involves simply walking kids outside.
